Nursing school isn't hard!

Hi Guys!

It's been a while. For those that are new here, my name is Ama. Welcome to AMA TALK!

I have been busy studying and focusing on my NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. Lately, I've been feeling so drained. If you've ever studied for a board exam before you know exactly I'm feeling...

#AMATIP Don’t listen to people when they tell you something is hard. 👏🏿🩺

When I applied to nursing school I didn’t tell anyone. Months later I received my acceptance letters to several nursing programs with scholarships and let my family and friends know I got a variety of emotions. Some were happy, some were skeptical (because it was never my dream to be a nurse), and some were outright discouraging. I kept hearing “nursing is hard you sure you want to do that?”... I had so many emotions, I let self doubt creep in. “I asked myself “am I making the right decision?”...

Then I remembered how I got there in the first place. God chose me to be a nurse. I struggled through nursing school more emotionally than academically... Why? Because I didn’t believe and trust why I was in nursing school in the first place.

I cried almost every day for the past 1.5 year. Some days I would go into my closet, close the door and just cry due to all of the pressure and oppression.

By His grace alone, I was able to finish my program on Dean’s List and passed my NCLEX on my first try in the minimum amount of questions. The point that I’m trying to make here is that our plans are NOT God’s plans for our life. Isaiah 55:8. God will see you through! Keep trusting and believing!

Talk to you guys later!

Ama
